Seit über zwei Jahrzehnten fahre ich mit einem Omnibus durch Berlin. Die täglichen Eindrücke sind so vielfältig, wie es Farbtöne auf der Welt gibt.
Viele dieser Erlebnisse landen auf dem Frühstücks, - Mittags- oder Abendbrottisch. Auf Familienfeiern oder anderen Festen gelingt es mir die Anwesenden zum Lachen zu bringen, wenn ich von meinen Beobachtungen berichte. Stammfahrgäste rieten mir immer wieder, meine Anekdoten aufzuschreiben. Jene Episoden schriftlich zu fixieren hielt ich für eine zu umfangreiche Arbeit, wofür mir die Motivation fehlte. Bus fahren und Fahrgäste ertragen ist auslastend genug. Ich fürchtete mich vor quälenden Gedanken, wie ich meine Erlebnisse zu Papier bringen könnte. Doch geht das Schicksal manchmal andere Wege. Im Januar 2012 entschloss ich mich spontan, das Studium „Schule des Schreibens“ zu beginnen. Ich wusste keineswegs, warum es ein Studium sein musste. Fängt so die Midlife-Crisis an? Einmal angemeldet, conflict klar, dass ich von einem Tag auf den anderen etwas zu Papier bringen musste. was once für eine verrückte Idee?! Nach umfangreichem Grübeln, womit ich beginnen könnte, eilte mir der Zufall zur Hilfe. Die Idee für dieses Buch lieferten die traurigen privaten Erfahrungen eines Polizisten mit Busfahrern.
In meinem Erstlingswerk, das ganz ohne Skandal auskommt, entführe ich Sie, liebe Leser, in die Arbeitswelt eines Busfahrers und schildere in kurzweiliger wie amüsant artwork, warum wir zu spät, oder gar nicht an Ihrer Haltestelle vorbeikommen.
