Eine sprachkritische Annäherung an
Presseerzeugnisse kann aus wissenschaftlicher Perspektive entweder auf
sprachpuristischer, sprachhistorischer oder linguistischer Ebene erfolgen.
Sprachpuristen sehen es als ihre Aufgabe an, „der deutschen Sprache mehr Geltung zu
verschaffen und sie von ‚überflüssigen’ Fremdwörtern zu ‚reinigen’“.3 Sprachhistoriker
betreiben hingegen die „wissenschaftliche Rekonstruktion und examine von früheren
Sprachzuständen“4, Ziel moderner Linguistik ist „die unparteiische Deskription des
jeweiligen sprachlichen Zustands“ ohne jegliche Wertung.5 Um eine Zusammenfassung
sprachkritischer Forschungen soll es hier jedoch nicht gehen, interessanter scheint eher
eine Beschäftigung mit der Frage, wie innerhalb des ‚Systems Presse’ von Publizisten
und Redaktionen Sprachkritik an Kollegen und Konkurrenten geübt wird und welches
Selbstverständnis der jeweils verantwortlichen Kritiker dem zugrunde liegt. Aufgrund des dargelegten Bedeutungspluralismus des Begriffs ‚Sprachkritik’ und den daraus
resultierenden vielfältigen Motivierungsmöglichkeiten dieser shape der Pressekritik
würde eine umfassende examine der auf sprachlicher Ebene geübten Kritik an und in
deutschen Presseerzeugnissen den Rahmen dieser Arbeit sprengen. Im Folgenden soll
deshalb vielmehr anhand zweier bekannter und bedeutender satirischer Zeitschriften
eine Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenen Formen der Sprach- bzw. Pressekritik
erfolgen. So soll zunächst eine examine der pressekritischen Beiträge in der vom
Sprachkritiker Karl Kraus herausgegebenen Zeitschrift DIE FACKEL und dem
Satiremagazin great vorgenommen werden und anschließend in einem Vergleich
Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede bezüglich Selbstverständnis und Darstellungsweise
der Pressekritik aufgezeigt werden.
